How my mind works at the moment

I'm a bit sad 'coz we lost the clan war today. I'm happy though that my hogs are awesome this war but...*sigh* I spent 15k DE just to see how my maxed hogs work. They are a beauty! I can move on and forget about the DE. I'm sure my Archer Queen can wait for her upgrade.

Playing Clash of Clans is like having a relationship

I've said it several times on global chat. Recruitment of clan members in Clash is like love. You don't want the one who wants you or the one you want doesn't want you. You get invited to join clans if you are clanless but you turn most invites down because you're looking for something else or your invite gets ignored because the player prefers a different clan.

On my current dilemma, it feels like I'm in the same context. Funny actually. I think I am going to use the cliche line for break up which is "It is not you...it's me". There is nothing wrong with my clan. How it works, works for most of the members. Maybe it is just me who is different.

I love my Cosa clan. I love it too much that I refused to be a permanent member, and just be a visitor,  of some clans who invited me before. Cosa was started/built by the guys I've met from a clan I've joined in 2014.  We all started it. Though it was them who thought of the name. The clan has grown for the past months after more high level actives came to join us. We are currently on clan level 5 and few more wins and we will reach level 6. It feels great especially if you have been a part of it from scratch. Teamwork paid off and it feels really good. 

We just want to build a fun clan who takes war seriously. But I feel that as time goes by, the way they are going and where I am going is getting different. If this is a romantic relationship, I would think that this is the Seven Year Itch. Not that we have been together for seven years. For those who don't know what the Seven Year Itch is, it is a term used to describe how a relationship feels a little low when you and your partner reaches 7 years. So what couples are advised to do is go out, spend time together, etc. But I can't date my clan if you know what I mean. I'm thinking if this is one of those times that I need to go out and breathe. It is like having a boyfriend you truly love but the relationship isn't working anymore. A part of you wants to break up with him because it feels different but a part of you wants to hold on because maybe you are only having a moment and you only need to sit down and patch things with him. I am really confused.

Guess I need to play Vainglory or the new Need for Speed to divert my thoughts. Oh wait...maybe what I need to play is something with punch and kick to express my emotions like Tekken. Hmm... Nah. I'll just finish building my new Gundam Robot action figure.

Cooldown from Clashcon

Let us cool down a bit from all these heated up discussions about TH11, COC updates and the players who were invited to Clashcon. Let us not lose hope that Supercell will take the time to listen to the requests of those who have the passion for the game even if some people think that they are just a minority.

I found a a very funny video on Youtube about a Clashcon attendee. The video is in Spanish language and originally the man wasn't talking about Clashcon. It was just soooo funny how the video was subbed discussing the COC event.

Be ready with your hanky or tissue because all you clashers will have a big laugh with this video.

OneHive Raids: A Letter to Clash of Clans from the War Community

There had been a lot of discussions lately after the big Clashcon event. Other websites featured what happened while some shared the updates that we can expect before the year ends.

But I think, the most heated up discussion on social media right now with regards to Clash is what the war community thinks about the concluded Clash of Clans event. If you have read the forums, Twitter posts and Youtube comments, you will have an idea of what COC players think about Clashcon and how they reacted with the comments of those who had been very vocal about their opinions.

I don't know where it really started but I believe that a lot of viewpoints came out after the admin of COC Twitter account blocked Jake from Onehive (@OneHiveRaids). It was unblocked on the same day but it sort of ignited a lot of negative reactions from hardcore players. There are those who say that they don't care who Jake is and the fact that he was blocked. Some say it was deserved because most war players have bad attitude, etc. I do not expect those who don't war to really concern themselves. I have read what some trophy pushers and farmers think about this. I do not know if I consider myself to belong in the war community. Maybe not. I guess I am one of those casual players, I don't push. I don't farm. But I love wars and I strive to be a better player than I am now. I agree and support what the war community is fighting for.

Some have mentioned this already and I'd like to reiterate it. The twitter blocking may look simple or irrelevant but it means something to those who play the game for the purpose of war. It isn't about Jake. It is about who Jake represents. Not OneHive or those mega war clans. It is about those who have the passion for the game. A lot may not understand what this passion is but I'd say passion is something you should never question. Passion may not define a person as a whole but it takes a solid part of who a person is because passion drives someone to grow and be better at something.

Personally, I consider passion as a challenge and a joy at the same time. You won't get tired of learning all the parts, the corners, the entirety because even though you are in the box of your passion, you feel free. And I'm not only talking about playing this game. Artists, painters, writers, singers, dancers and gamers are just alike. They only have different interests.
