I rarely and I mean R-A-R-E-L-Y get surprised by guy confessions. Or
should I say, I rarely get speechless by guy confessions. I can say I'm
very open-minded as long as it's not something offensive. I know that
being honest and admitting something quite personal takes a lot of
thinking. It also entails trust and probably, strong bond or friendship
with the receiver. Anyway, I'll cut the crappy intro and go straight to
the point. Seriously, I didn't expect I would really find it hard to
discuss this thing.
A guy friend told me that before he gets engaged, he'd like to kiss me. You know, the real one. It just came out during one of our conversations. I guess he was too comfortable with me and he knows I wouldn't judge him. Good thing was he said it through text. I just laughed at it because I thought it was funny. I said "thank you", gave him a big smile then a deep sigh then a big smile again 'coz I don't know the proper response to that. Yeah I know, I look stupid.
My question is, what is the proper response to that??!!! Should I really say "thank you"? Should I give the guy a big hug? Is it wrong to grant his thoughts? Maybe there's nothing wrong about it as long as it's just one kiss and no touching. No holding the arms or face or hands or shoulders. Yeah that looks weird hahaha But it might work you know. No holding because I think it makes things look too serious or too real.
But what left me blinking and speechless, was the thing that Mr. Separate Lives told me last night during our "open-conversation". I'm not going to say what that is. It wasn't offensive. Good thing I was too composed or I might have opened the car door and jumped in the middle of the highway! hahaha He is a good guy and it was something I didn't expect to come from him. Not that I'm disappointed, I was just extremely caught off guard. So I just said "thank you" again 'coz i really don't know what to say.
Funny how deep bonds can make people admit their deepest thoughts and say things you don't normally say to your friends. *sigh* I'm just reminded of an incident outside Powerbooks... ;p
