Killing enemy cc troops with your cc troops

I tried playing for raid my friend's TH 5 account in Clash of Clans.

I have learned that if the base you are attacking has high level wizards on cc and you also have them in yours, and you want to use them, never deploy them near the spot where the troops are killing each other.

Since the troops come out of the castle in close proximity to each other, if you deploy them on the killing spot, the enemy wizards will just toast them in one blow! I was mortified!

I never experienced them when I was on Th 5... That was a long time ago. When there were no clan wars yet hehehe
